Transformations to Peace Mindful Series for Peace Calm and Happiness.

Mindfulness is to the mind like cross-training is to the body. It works the mind through the exercise of focus and increased awareness. Helping you to slow down and settle your thoughts and feelings.

Mindfulness ignites creativity and wonder, improves perspective by decreasing judgment and makes tangible those experiences which are often assumed to be intangible.

Transformations to Peace is designed to help you ground yourself in the present moment. This series will assist you in truly connecting to yourself so you can more readily connect to your experiences.

Being mindful is…

an awareness, NOT an elimination, of thoughts.

When people first hear about mindfulness, they are under the assumption that it required an elimination of thought. However, once you give mindfulness a try you realize that it is NOT an elimination of thoughts, it is an act of purposefully being aware of them.

It is impossible to stop yourself from thinking. So in order to cultivate mindfulness in your life, you do not need to stop thinking, you just need to purposefully become aware of a couple of these thoughts as you go through the day.
